Birmingham City are still clinging onto a top-six spot in the Championship, despite suffering a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Barnsley this weekend.

An out-of-sorts Blues lacked their normal raggedy determination and whilst they were unlucky to not dispatch a couple of early opportunities, Barnsley still scored three away from home and probably deserved the victory.

But with heaps of time left until May, you'd be silly to rule the Bluenoses out of the play-off run-ins just yet. Gary Rowett has a strong team at his disposal and unlike seasons past, he's got plenty of firepower on the bench.

But unfortunately for some, that means a couple of players might struggle to immediately make the first-team.

There is an abundance of talent in the Birmingham reserves and development squads but we feel there are a handful of players who just won't make the first-team cut.

So with that in mind, here's two Birmingham wonderkids who could be destined to flop...

Koby Arthur

Koby Arthur

He's a man that's been on the cusp of the Birmingham first-team in the past but sadly for Koby Arthur, it seems like his future at St Andrews isn't going to carry him into the legends catagory.

He's currently struggling to get game-time on-loan at Cheltenham Town and with appearances at St Andrews also at a minimum these days, we're predicting a move away for the 20-year-old in the near future.

Jack Storer

Tricky choice this and it's one that some Birmingham City fans won't agree with in the slightest.

We've seen the best and worst of Jack Storer this season, from his fantastic pre-season campaign to his silly sending off in a 3-1 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Unsurprisingly, he's been kept away from first-team affairs after injuring himself kicking an advertising board after that sending off and if he can't keep a lid on his temper, he just won't be risked in the senior side.
