Portsmouth will be hoping to push for promotion when the new League One campaign gets underway at the end of this month, with Pompey starting the new season with a tough trip to Sheffield Wednesday.

Danny Cowley will be striving to continue bolstering his forward options ahead of that fixture in under two weeks, following the departure of Marcus Harness and George Hirst's return to Leicester City.

Losing creativity in Harness and power in Hirst, one player who could provide both is Luton Town's Admiral Muskwe, a player who could be available to League One clubs this summer.

Possessing a plethora of attacking options ahead of the new campaign, Nathan Jones may opt to send Muskwe out on loan ahead of the closure of the summer window, or try to generate a fee for his permanent departure.

The former option is more likely than the latter, whilst remaining at Kenilworth Road is of course a possibility at this stage.

With the Hatters bringing in the likes of Carlton Morris, Cauley Woodrow and Luke Freeman, the former Leicester City man may drop down the pecking order, and when combined with the positive signs shown by Dion Pereira, Muskwe may be in need of more regular game time elsewhere.

A versatile option, Muskwe's athleticism and dribbling ability could cause chaos in League One next season, with his confidence levels dipping during the latter stages of last season.

Still of Championship quality, a move to the top-end of the third-tier could be exactly what the 23-year-old needs and a loan move could help the Hatters out both in the short term and in the long run too.

It is difficult to determine whether the Hatters would be open to selling Muskwe this summer, and whilst he may struggle to make the squad this season, there is a good chance that he could be part of the club's exciting future.

As mentioned before, the most likely option in this scenario would be a loan move, which would still give Cowley some funds to recruit another forward who can bring different attributes to the table.
