It's been a tough summer for Aston Villa fans to endure but they can at least relax a little bit now.

Fears over their financial state have dominated their off-season but new investment has come in and that appears to have allayed a lot of those worries.

Steve Bruce is staying put, too, so things are looking a lot more stable than they were a few weeks ago.

And, with Robert Snodgrass' recent comments in mind, fans should hope that a late loan deal for him could still happen.

As quoted by the Birmingham Mail he said of Bruce staying on:

"He’s a top manager, he’s a top man, he’s a gentleman. It’s great, it’s good news that they’ve decided to keep him on and hopefully they’ll kick on now."

Clearly, Snodgrass remains across of what is going on at Villa Park and with their new financial security perhaps a loan deal for the winger for this season isn't completely dead and buried.

Snodgrass evidently likes Bruce and enjoyed his time at the club, and so you'd never be surprised if the Villans somehow now found a way to pull off a late swoop.

Certainly, it looks as though Jack Grealish and James Chester can now be kept and so fans of the club should start feeling a bit more optimistic.
