Leeds United's season couldn't really be going much better this season under Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites are all set for the second half of the season and sit top of the pile despite a loss against Stoke City this afternoon.

Some of the football on display has been simply superb at times, and if they can keep up the levels of performance we have seen in the main this season, a place in the Premier League will surely beckon.

And with news emerging today via the Daily Star that the Whites are potentially lining up a double swoop for Spanish duo Ruben Alcaraz and Toni Villa, it could well spell doom for the rest of the chasing pack.

A rumoured £20m fee for the duo will send shockwaves through the division if a move does come off, and with Leeds already capturing Real Madrid stopper Kiko Casilla this week, it just demonstrates further the amount of draw the club still has.

While little is known of the midfielders, they are clearly talented, and followers of La Liga will confirm that both players are technically gifted beyond what we normally see in the second tier.

A move like this will blow clubs like Sheffield United out of the water, and just when the Blades might think they are reeling Leeds in, such a signing would be a massive blow to the hopes of the Sheffield club.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether a deal can be sorted for Villa and Alcaraz, but it's not ideal for the rest of the league, and it might just be the final nail in the coffin to the chasing pack if Bielsa gets his men.

Leeds fans, what do you think? Would this be a good deal? Let us know in the comments!
