Wolverhampton Wanderers have endured a catastrophic start to the season and the Walter Zenga experiment did not work.

The Italian lasted just 87 days in the job following his summer arrival at the expense of long-serving boss Kenny Jackett and left Wolves in a dire situation.

Wolves are 19th in the Championship; three points off relegation and they have only won 4 times in the opening 16 matches.

This was not where they would have hoped to have been at this stage considering the expectation for the season was a promotion push.

Paul Lambert will be scratching his head about how to revitalise this Wolves side and lift them up the table.

The team he has inherited is short on confidence and lacking in talent across the pitch.

The answer to his problems could be about to present itself to him though.

Jordan Graham is due back from injury before Christmas and Wolves fans will be breathing a sigh of relief when they see him kitted out in the gold and black again.

After failing to make the cut at Midlands rivals Aston Villa, Jordan Graham moved to Wolves in January 2015 and the Villains will be kicking themselves at losing such a talented youngster.

The 21-year-old ripped Championship defences to shreds with his stunning wing displays.

Graham has everything a wide man needs: flair, pace, skill, strength, directness and confidence.

He scored his solitary goal in an away match against Charlton last year and Wolves fans always had a sense of expectation when Graham got on the ball.

On the 16th January, however, nightmare struck for both Jordan Graham and the Wolves faithful.

After limping off in the second half against Cardiff, it was later revealed that he had torn ligaments in his knee and he would be sidelined for the duration of the 2015/16 season and the start of the 2016/17 season.

This was an incredibly frustrating blow for both the club and the player, as they were both starting to see how good Jordan Graham really was.

The former England under-17 man has had a length spell on the sidelines but he has returned to grass and his rehabilitation is progressing well.

He is aiming to be back playing in the Championship before Christmas.

This is music to Wolves fans' and Paul Lambert's ears as Graham is someone who can really make things happen.

The exciting winger can create something out of nothing and he is still developing his game so expect him to add more goals to his personal tally.

This could be the answer to Wolves fans' prayers.
