Brighton and Hove Albion are currently top of the Sky Bet Championship, and are prising open the door the promised land that is the Premier League.

Bobby Zamora has come off the bench to net recently, but can the Seagulls continue to rely on the experienced striker?
Bobby Zamora has come off the bench to net recently, but can the Seagulls continue to rely on the experienced striker?

Despite the Seagulls positive start, questions need to be asked about the quality up front.

Brighton’s most recent game was a 0-0 draw with Preston North End, a game where Brighton showed no creativity, or even threatened the Preston goal.

Slightly concerning for a side top of the division.

In the previous two games, Brighton have relied on Bobby Zamora to come up with a winner past the 80th minute, giving the Albion a 2-1 win against Leeds United and Bristol City.

Due to his age and fitness levels, it seems that, certainly to begin with, Zamora can only play a maximum of 30 minutes.

This will leave Brighton fans wondering that if they are not to waste this start, they need to build a stronger attacking unit.

One man who they have been looking at is Jonathan Calleri, an Argentinean striker who currently plays for Boca Juniors.

If manager Chris Hughton can bring him into the club, it will certainly add more goals to the side, and allow for the team to be rotated, while keeping a high standard of quality.

Brighton will be looking to be promoted this year although, as it stands, they might not quite have enough to get the job done. The Championship is a long, hard season, and the squad at present may not be able to cope with the demands of the division.

Yet, if they can bring in a few more quality players, the Seagulls will be soaring.

Brighton fans... do you agree? Do Brighton need more quality in the final third? Or was the draw with Preston a one off? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
