Wigan Athletic look set for the drop this season.

It has been a difficult season for the Latics after they won League One last season and the former FA Cup winners are currently on their third manager of the season after sacking Gary Caldwell and Warren Joyce.

With six games remaining, Wigan are 7 points adrift of safety and the recent 3-0 loss to low scorers Ipswich Town was a real kick in the teeth.

With relegation will come an expected exodus.

Wigan will probably lose some star players and one of them is likely to be Max Power.

The powerful central midfielder was the subject of major interest from other Championship sides in January and he is likely to be in demand again this summer.

With Transfermarkt valuing him at £638k, Brentford should make a move.

The Bees were looking to add some steel to their midfield and that seems to be the final piece in their jigsaw to mount a promotion challenge.

Brentford have a promising young defence, a goal scoring striker in Lasse Vibe and numerous attacking midfielders with bags of talent.

Max Power would provide the protection to allow the likes of Jota and Alan Judge to run the show further up the field.

If Wigan get relegated, Brentford should seek a cut price transfer for Max Power.
