Adam Forshaw has taken to Instagram to share a humorous take on how his return to full fitness for Leeds United is going, as he recovers from season-ending hip surgery.

The Whites midfielder started the season very well, firmly establishing himself as an important cog in Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion-chasing machine, slotting in the middle of the park and helping Leeds dominate matches with assured ball retention and a great range of passing.

It hasn’t been a campaign to remember for the experienced number four, as he has only managed seven league appearances which the last one came in the Charlton Athletic defeat late September.

It didn’t seem like a major setback for Forshaw when he sustained this hip problem against Swansea City, but it saw him miss two league games and return to the lineup against the Addicks, only to last 45 minutes, before being replaced by fellow medical-room-regular Tyler Roberts.

His season was ended by this injury when the club finally took the decision to send Forshaw to Colorado for surgery on it, which turned out to be a success. The 28-year-old posted a humorous update on
