Stoke City will be determined to make amends with their fans this season after falling miles short of expectations last term.

The Potters were made pre-season favourites to win promotion this time last year but had to settle for a lower-midtable finish instead.

Now managed by Nathan Jones, the club have had another busy summer, bringing in seven new faces including Tommy Smith, Adam Davies, Liam Lindsay, Nick Powell and Lee Gregory.

So, things are shaping up nicely off the pitch. But what about on it?

Well, Wednesday night offered the fans another chance to get a peak at what is to come this season when they took on Lincoln City in a pre-season friendly.

They were made to work hard for it, but Jones' side came away with the win, with two goals from young striker Tyrese Campbell proving the difference.
