Doncaster fell to their first loss of the season after a late goal from Blackpool striker Armand Gnanduillet.

With a largely decent start to the season for Doncaster, picking up three wins and three draws from the opening six games and hitting some form, a loss at home to Blackpool wasn't expected.

Having beaten rivals Rotherham and gained an important point away at promotion favourites Ipswich in the previous two confidence was high but Simon Grayson's Blackpool netted late on to take all three points.

Doncaster sit in 10th in the table, three points behind last Tuesday night's opponents Blackpool. A minor bump in the road still has the club looking up not down.

With another home game around the corner for Donny it gives them the best chance to put things right, albeit against a tough Peterborough side who currently occupy the last play-off place. A win for Doncaster could put them into the play-off mix at this early stage in the season.

After a less than glamourous defeat fans were naturally disappointed but many were looking at the bigger picture and already turning their attention to what promises to be a very big game on Saturday...
