‘Onto Reading away’ – Cardiff City fans remain positive despite Brighton and Hove Albion loss

A late Tomer Hemed goal sunk Cardiff City, as they were defeated 1-0 by league leaders Brighton and Hove Albion.
The game was a re-arrangement of December’s game that was postponed due to fog.
Sky Bet had arranged free coach travel for the Cardiff supporters who were making the trip, and 408 travelling fans backed the Bluebirds.
Neil Warnock’s side looked set to steal a point and record their first clean-sheet away from home since the opening day of the season, until Israel international Hemed struck in the 73rd minute.
Cardiff entered the game in good form, having won their previous three league games, and coped well with highflying Brighton.
The victory saw Chris Hughton’s side return to the top of the Sky Bet Championship but left the Bluebirds 16th in the table.
Warnock’s men are up against another promotion contender this weekend, as they face third placed Reading on Saturday.
Following last night’s cruel defeat, here is how Cardiff fans reacted on Twitter..
1-0 FT. Shame to concede such a poor goal in a game where we more than held our own against a top side. Never mind, Reading away on Saturday

Not fussed about losing this, a 1-0 defeat to the top of the league team is nothing to worry about.

FT: Brighton 1-0 Cardiff
Good effort from City, now onto Reading away on Saturday— Cardiff City Fans (@CardiffCityCCFC) January 24, 2017
Cardiff would feel hard done-by if they come away from this without a point. A decent performance away from home so far.

Grinding out small marginal victories is the sign of a promotion side, expect Brighton to finish in the top two. Onto Reading on Saturday!????

A measure of how far we've come under Warnock that we can play well against sides like that.
