Derby County talisman Matej Vydra has had a complication with his medical, ahead of a potential move to Leeds United this summer, to the dismay of the Peacocks fan base.

According to a tweet by James Marshment, editor of TEAMTalk, there has been a slight problem in the medical of last season’s Championship top goal scorer.

The tweet stated: “Rumours abound of Hernandez deal and Foden loan. Hearing a slight complication with Vydra medical though and some talking to do yet... Currently on holiday for the week and officially off duty so have nothing more concrete.”

Leeds United had been linked with an £11m move to Elland Road, following Derby County’s disappointing loss in last season’s play-offs.

The 26-year-old striker seems to be at the top of Lilywhites boss Marcelo Bielsa’s transfer list, but this could hinder the move.

The Hernandez deal was later found out to be false, with a follow up tweet from Marshment, stating: “Apologies – wrong on Hernandez.”

The string of tweets has caused a mixed reaction amongst Leeds United fans, who took to Twitter to give their response to the update.
