Norwich City are in pole position to return to the Premier League this season, with Daniel Farke's side showing little signs of slowing down in their pursuit of promotion.

The Canaries are currently four points clear at the top of the table and with eight games remaining, so they'll fancy their chances of taking the Championship title.

But the Canaries could be dealt a frustrating injury blow, with the news that Dennis Srbeny could be set for a spell on the sidelines.

Norwich winger, Onel Hernandez revealed on his Instagram story that Srbeny had picked up what looks like a leg injury, which could rule him out of action.

Although it remains to be seen as to what the extent of the injury Srbeny has picked up is, he's likely to cut a frustrated figure at Carrow Road at this moment in time.

He is yet to make a league start this season for Daniel Farke's side, and has been used as a late substitute in 15 matches for the Canaries in their league campaign.

He'll be hoping to return from this setback at the earliest of opportunities, to give Farke another option in the run-in.

The Canaries are next in action when they take on Middlesbrough after the international break concludes midway through next week.

The Verdict:

This will be hugely frustrating for Srbeny.

He has hardly played this season and will have been keen to prove to Daniel Farke what he can offer this Norwich team as they challenge for promotion.

Hopefully he can return to action as quickly as possible.
