West Brom are set for a very busy summer as Steve Bruce looks to reshape the squad ahead of his first full season in charge.

The former Newcastle chief made no secret of the fact that the final few months of the campaign were unacceptable, with Bruce vowing to make changes.

One deal has already happened, with the Baggies bringing in John Swift in what looks like a real coup. And, they are seeking to do another ambitious deal after it was claimed that they want to sign Leicester City's Hamza Choudhury.

Reaching an agreement could be a problem financially, but Albion are pushing to get it done and here we look at ONE winner and ONE loser if the 24-year-old did arrive at The Hawthorns...

Winner: Steve Bruce

The Albion boss has been an admirer of Choudhury for some time, having been linked with the player at Newcastle but the move didn't go through.

Nevertheless, if he managed to convince the former England youth international to drop to the Championship then it would be a major boost for the manager.

Following on from Swift's arrival, it would be another excellent addition and the duo would both be key men in the middle of the park for the Baggies as they push for promotion.

Loser: Jake Livermore

If Albion do get Choudhury, you would imagine that he will play every week, along with Swift.

With Bruce likely to operate a three-man midfield, the former Reading man will be the attacking link and Choudhury in the team to do the defensive work.

Whilst that leaves one place up for grabs, you could argue that Choudhury is very similar to Jake Livermore, who may now miss out. The former Hull man has endured a mixed few years with Albion and he could lose his place in the XI if this deal comes off.
