Wigan Athletic have made an impressive start to the season following their return to the Championship, as they prepare to host Swansea City at the DW Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Latics have been magnificent at home, and are yet to lose at the DW Stadium therefore they will be fancying their chances at home to Graham Potter's men on Tuesday evening.

Paul Cook's men sit 8th in the table after five wins, one draw and four defeats, and will look to get back to winning ways after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Norwich City last weekend.

A player who has been at the heart of all Wigan's win this season is the talismanic Nick Powell - the former Manchester United midfielder has scored four goals in ten games and has also provided 3 assists as the Wigan side continue to defy the odds.

Thanks to his sensational form, Powell is bound to have some suitors vying for his signature in January, and here we take a look at one winner and one loser if Wigan Athletic lose Powell in the transfer window...

Windass has been operating as a winger since his arrival from Rangers in the summer, and could benefit if Powell departs in January after netting 18 times in 41 appearances for the Scottish side last term.

The 24-year old would move back into his preferred number 10 role, and would definitely fulfil the void left by Powell, and will also be looking to add to his stats of 1 goal and 1 assist.

Grigg is Wigan's second top scorer with three goals, and thrives on Powell's service.

If Powell was to leave the DW Stadium, Grigg would suffer.
