Derby County have been linked with a loan move for Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy this month as Frank Lampard tries to add a bit of extra quality to his squad.

The Rams are currently sixth in the Championship and have enjoyed a good campaign so far.

However, they are still slightly inconsistent and could do with a new signing or two to freshen things up for the run-in.

And, the Mirror report that quick winger Murphy is a target, with the former Norwich City man struggling to make an impact in the Premier League at the moment.

The 23-year-old has managed to make just eight league appearances this season, with the majority of those coming from the bench.

Therefore, he may be open to a move and here we look at one winner and one loser from this potential deal if it does go through...

The winner has to be Murphy.

He will be extremely frustrated at his current situation as making just three league starts is not enough for a player with his ability.

So, even if it's only until May, the chance to get back playing would help the player and potentially Newcastle in the future if he can rediscover his best form.

The loser has to be Florian Jozefzoon.

Since arriving from Brentford in the summer, the winger has struggled for consistency.

He has been in and out the team and hasn't made the contribution that Lampard would've hoped for. Shoudl Murphy arrive, he would surely be pushed further down the pecking order.
