Cardiff City are hoping to bring in Cauley Woodrow from Barnsley before the domestic deadline passes on Friday.

Neil Harris has been on the lookout for more firepower this summer but he was been unable to land the targets he wanted prior to the international window passing earlier this month.

However, Wales Online have revealed that talks have begun with the Tykes as they look to bring the versatile attacker to the Welsh capital.

Whether a deal can be agreed remains to be seen but Woodrow would appear to be a very good signing for the Bluebirds on paper. He scored 14 goals for Barnsley last season, playing a crucial role in their dramatic survival, whilst he grabbed his first of the current campaign last time out.

Here we look at ONE winner and ONE loser if the transfer did go through...

Winner: Kieffer Moore

The Cardiff target man is expected to lead the line throughout the season and he would certainly benefit from playing alongside Woodrow.

That's because the Barnsley forward is smart with his movement and he will help create chances for the big man, who will be the focal point that the 25-year-old can play off.

Potentially, they could form a very strong partnership at this level.

Loser: Robert Glatzel

The German forward is already struggling for game time this season having featured in just two of the four league games - both as a sub.

Obviously, Woodrow's arrival would make it harder for the Heidenheim man to get on the pitch and he will face a big battle to convince Harris that he should be in the XI.
