Queens Park Rangers are finally beginning to find some form after what has been a dismal start to the Championship campaign.

Steve McClaren’s men lie 22nd in the Championship standings, suffering four straight league defeats before a 1-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, then a 0-0 draw away at Birmingham City last weekend.

Many R’s fans have voiced their discontent at McClaren and feel like much more could have been done in the summer transfer window, with each of their nine new signings arriving on loan or on a free transfer.

As we approach the end of the first month of the new campaign, the Loftus Road faithful will be somewhat optimistic after their recent revival, but on the whole will surely be demanding more from their club in the coming months.

Here we take a look at one winner and one loser from QPR's season so far...

Hemed has shown a glimpse of what he can do in the Championship following his arrival from Brighton and Hove Albion on loan, netting in a 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic in what was his R's debut.

The 31-year old reached double figures in two successive seasons with the Seagulls in 15/16 and 16/17, and will no doubt be looking to replicate that goalscoring form this term to power QPR up the table.

After being deemed "desperate" to get rid of Sylla in the summer, it's all now a bit bizarre that the Guinea international remains at Loftus Road despite being unwanted by McClaren.

The 27-year old has netted 17 times in 61 appearances since his arrival from Anderlecht in 2016, and it's now up to McClaren whether to reintroduce him back into the first team, after failing to make an appearance in their last three league games.
