The goalkeeper pulled off a string of saves to keep his side in the game and was the driving force in heading back to south Wales with a share of the spoils in a game that they would have lost on any other night.

Mulder made six saves and came to claim the ball three times and had a pass success rate of 90 per cent during an evening that ended with him as the star performer for the Swans.

The target man in the Birmingham attack was unable to find a way past an inspired Swansea keeper having four shots on target, and seeing three saved from the 29-year-old.

Jutkiewicz won 16 aerial duels, but try as he might, nothing was coming off for the striker, who on another night, could of have had a hat-trick.
