Sheffield Wednesday are interested in a summer move for Plymouth Argyle midfielder Panutche Camara according to the Sheffield Star.

The box-to-box midfielder will enter the final year of his contract at Home Park next season and therefore the Pilgrims are preparing to cash in on their asset this summer.

The Owls are already well stocked in midfield areas, but they cannot afford to pass up the opportunity to sign a player of Camara's quality at a cut price due to his contract situation.

Here, we have taken a look at one winner and one loser at Hillsborough if they sign the Guinea-Bissau international...

Winner: Barry Bannan

Barry Bannan is not the energetic midfielder he once was at 32, however his passing range seems to have only improved and the Scotsman is still very capable of dictating play at League One level.

Signing Camara only increases his ability to do that, with the 25-year-old taking some of the weight off of Bannan's contributions out of possession with his relentless energy.

Bolstering the midfield with Camara, would allow Bannan to focus more on creating chances and making decisive contributions in the final third, which at his age, would benefit him and the team.

Loser: Dennis Adeniran

Dennis Adeniran made a very exciting start to his Wednesday career this season, after arriving from Everton in the summer of 2021.

The 23-year-old is a cultured midfielder who can build attacks in central areas but also break into some goalscoring positions.

He is not completely dissimilar to Camara, and the Argyle ace could block his pathway back to the first team.

Adeniran has not featured for the Owls since mid January due to injury, and if George Byers' rise to prominence was not enough, Camara entering the mix would make it very tough for him to force his way back in as first choice.

With one year left on his contract in Yorkshire, the Owls bringing in Panutche Camara could spell the end at Hillsborough for Adeniran.
