Sheffield Wednesday's decision to appoint Tony Pulis as manager is likely to ruffle some feathers.

The Owls announced the former Stoke City and Middlesbrough man as their new boss on Friday evening after sacking Garry Monk earlier in the week.

The hope is that the experienced gaffer can come in and hit the ground running as he looks to move the club away from the drop zone in the Championship.

But first he has to do a full assessment of the first team squad.

Some players will an ideal fit for Pulis, while others may not be his cup of tea.

So who is likely to prosper under the new regime? Let's look at a potential winner and loser from the recent appointment.

Keiren Westwood - winner

The goalkeeper has been an outcast of late having not featured for Sheffield Wednesday in around a year.

But with a new manager in charge he could be set for a fresh opportunity.

Pulis will look to run the rule over the entire squad and that means that Westwood must take the opportunity to impress if he's to find his way back into the starting XI where he was once part of the furniture.

Moses Odubajo - loser

It's hard to speculate over who may not fit in to Tony Pulis's style of play, but Odubajo is one who springs to mind.

The attack-minded full-back is the polar opposite to the typical tall, strong and physical option that the Welshman usually selects at full-back.

At Middlesbrough that role was often filled by a versatile centre-back, and that could mean that the former Brentford man is an unfortunate victim of the new man in charge.
