Sheffield Wednesday have suffered another injury set-back after Fernando Forestieri tore his hamstring after coming on as a half-time substitute against Blackburn Rovers last weekend.

Sheffield Wednesday lost 4-2 to Tony Mowbray's side to bump them down into 16th in the Championship table, making it six losses in the Owls' last eight matches.

They host 20th placed Rotherham United at Hillsborough this Saturday and will be hopeful of picking up three points against the fellow strugglers.

But they will have to do it without one of their star men.

It means that Jos Luhukay will be without Forestieri heading into the busy Christmas period.

Forestieri has had a mixed time of it so far this season, showing his best in flashed but not consistently enough, going in and out of the manager's side.

It is undoubtedly a huge blow for the club, but it could benefit some.

Here is one loser and one winner from the Forestieri injury...

Bannan will be the biggest losers from this scenario.

He has not shown it too often this season, but Forestieri remains one of the club's most menacing providers.

With the Italian now out, Bannan now has even more pressure on him to provide the chances needed to drag them out of their rut.

Matias probably stands to gain the most from the injury.

He was the man Forestieri replaced at half-time at Ewood Park so will now most-probably get a run in the team to himself.

He has shown flashes of brilliance, now he has the chance to really nail that spot down.
