One winner and one loser at Millwall if club strike deal for 27-year-old

Millwall are considering a summer move for Hull City attacking midfielder George Honeyman, as per a report from News at Den

The 27-year-old has been a consistent performer for the Tigers over the last few seasons, with his attacking intelligence, ball-carrying abilities and end-product typically being at a high level.

With his current club growing as ambitious as ever following Acun Ilicali’s takeover, it remains to be seen if Honeyman will be as integral at the MKM Stadium as he has been over the last few years.

Here, we take a look at one winner and one loser at Millwall if the Lions strike a deal for the attacking midfielder…

One winner – Tom Bradshaw

A forward that thrives on excellent levels of creativity, Tom Bradshaw is an intelligent forward who has proven to strike strong relationships with players on a similar wavelength.

It remains to be seen if Bradshaw can manage to see regular game time when the new season comes about and if the Lions bolster their frontline options, but there is certainly scope for the experienced forward to benefit from a potential Honeyman arrival.

Literally 99% of Millwall supporters should be scoring 28/28 on this Lions quiz – Can you?

WHAT YEAR WERE THE CLUB FOUNDED?

Honeyman’s intricate passing and ability to commit defenders will be a common feature at Millwall if he is to arrive this summer.

One loser – Mason Bennett

Mason Bennett has proven during his Millwall career that he possesses the required abilities to cause chaos in the Championship, however, last season, his campaign was hindered by injuries.

If the new campaign follows suit, then Honeyman will have every chance of coming in and putting in undroppable performances.

A lot will depend on the business the Lions do this summer, and what formational changes could be made, but ultimately, with Millwall looking to strengthen and improve, another season that is hindered by injury could be detrimental to his chances when he is fit.
