Leeds United seem to be cursed when it comes to injuries. They must have broken a mirror or walked under a ladder, because they're attracting more bad luck than the rest of the Championship combined.

Their treatment room is busier than a tube station at rush hour, with key players such as Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling mixing with Izzy Brown, Tom Pearce, Ryan Edmondson and Gaetano Berardi. With Ezgjan Alioski missing training with Macedonia, they might need to build an extension and put in a few more tables.

Another high-profile name to join the list is Swedish defender Pontus Jansson. He's withdrawn from the Sweden squad, and a spell on the side lines is now feared. It is the last thing Marcelo Bielsa needs, especially as four of the other walking wounded also play at the back.

It might not be bad news for everyone though. With players out it opens up spaces for some on the edge of the first team, desperate to get a shot at wearing the shirt.

Whilst fans and manager won't welcome the news, there's one player who will almost certainly be rubbing his hands with glee, even if only in front of his own family.

FLW looks at one winner and one loser emerging from the latest injury news.

Peacock-Farrell is a possible loser here. The young keeper has an increasingly frail defence in front of him and after conceding four against the Baggies, he won't want to be exposed against Bristol City.

Even just having one of Berardi, Ayling or Jansson would offer a bit more protection for the young keeper.

When they've suffered injuries before, Leeds have gone to a 3-4-3 formation, affording a chance to Jack Harrison.

It might seem strange to see a potential winner in a wide position when a centre back is injured, but such is the reshuffling Leeds need to do, it could well be the Manchester City loan player who gets his chance as a result of their bad fortune.
