Despite signing a number of players in the summer, Derby County manager Phillip Cocu is reportedly eyeing up a potential swoop for Blackpool forward Armand Gnanduillet.

According to Football Insider, the Rams are keeping tabs on the 27-year-old ahead of the January transfer window.

One of Blackpool's stand-out performers this season, Gnanduillet has scored 12 goals in all competitions for the club including a brace in their victory over AFC Wimbledon last weekend.

Providing that the Rams do indeed decide to splash the cash on the forward, it could have a knock-on effect on the club's other players.

Keeping this in mind, we have selected ONE winner and ONE loser at Derby if the club seal a deal for Gnanduillet in January.

Check them out below...

Winner: Chris Martin

Derby's first-choice striker, Chris Martin has experienced somewhat of a renaissance under the guidance of Cocu this season.

As well as scoring three goals for the Rams in the Championship, the forward has also provided three assists for his team-mates.

Yet despite his recent performance, it could be argued that Martin could take his game to new heights if the club sign Gnanduillet.

Providing that the forward ends up hitting the ground running for Derby upon his arrival at Pride Park, Martin will have to step up his performance levels in order to keep his place in the side.

Loser: Mason Bennett

Despite enjoying a relatively fruitful end to the previous campaign, Mason Bennett has struggled to make any inroads for Derby this season.

Limited to just three starts by Cocu, the forward has yet to find the back of the net for the Rams.

If the club bring in Gnanduillet in January, Bennett may end up falling further down the pecking order at Derby which in turn could force him to consider his future.

With a place in the Rams' starting eleven no longer guaranteed, the forward may find it beneficial to leave club in January in order to play regular first-team football.
