West Ham are preparing a fresh move for Bournemouth forward Josh King according to a report from Claret and Hugh.

The Hammers were previously interested in a deal for the Norwegian international, but a move failed to materialise for one reason or another.

King made 26 appearances for Bournemouth in the Premier League last season, and scored six goals whilst also being on hand to provide his Cherries team-mates with four assists.

His efforts weren't quite enough though, as Bournemouth were relegated from the top-flight under the management of Eddie Howe.

It appeared as though his impressive showings hadn't gone unnoticed though, with Manchester United rivalling West Ham to a deal for King in the summer transfer window.

King has made five appearances for Bournemouth this term, as they currently sit fourth in the second-tier standings, as Jason Tindall's side target promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

We take a look at ONE winner and ONE loser as West Ham prepare a fresh transfer swoop for King ahead of the January transfer window.

Winner: David Moyes

West Ham aren't exactly blessed with attacking options in the first-team this season in the Premier League.

Michael Antonio and Sebastian Haller are the only recognised options in attack for the Hammers boss at the moment, although Antonio is currently out of action through injury.

Therefore, it certainly won't come as a surprise to see West Ham looking to reignite their interest in signing King, who has already shown in the past that he can perform to a high standard in the Premier League.

Competition for places is needed in more-attacking positions for West Ham, and David Moyes is making a smart move in targeting King once again.

Loser: Sebastian Haller

Haller has struggled for consistent game time with West Ham in the Premier League so far this season.

The 26-year-old has made just two league starts for the Hammers, which have come in their most recent two matches, with Michael Antonio in the treatment room.

But if West Ham are looking to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window, then King's potential arrival could push Haller down the pecking order in David Moyes' plans for the future.
