Huddersfield Town winger Adama Diakhaby is set to have his loan spell cut short in favour of a move to Nottingham Forest according to the Yorkshire Post.
The 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in Danny Cowley's plans in recent weeks, and he'll be hoping he can find regular game time with Sabri Lamouchi's promotion-chasing team at the City Ground.
In total, Diakhaby has made just nine league starts for Huddersfield this season, and some supporters are likely to question his ambition, given that Nottingham Forest already have a number of strong options available to them in wide areas.
Forest are currently sat fifth in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can make the necessary additions to their squad as they look to make a long-awaited return to the top-flight this season.
We take a look at ONE winner and ONE loser as Diakhaby edges closer to a move to Nottingham Forest.
Winner: Emile Smith Rowe
Smith Rowe recently signed for Huddersfield on loan for the remainder of the season, and he made his first start for the Terriers in their recent goalless draw against Brentford.
Arsenal would have been hoping that the youngster will feature regularly for the Terriers, which might not have been a certainty with Danny Cowley having a number of options to choose from.
But with Diakhaby's exit edging closer to be confirmed, it's one less player that Smith Rowe will have to battle with for a starting spot in the Huddersfield squad for the remainder of this year's campaign.
Loser: Danny Cowley
For any manager, you're not going to want to have any loan spells cut short in your team.
Diakhaby might not have been a regular under Danny Cowley's management, but he would have been keen to see the winger stay with them to add to the competition for places.
The fact that Nottingham Forest are chasing Diakhaby should speak volumes about the talent and potential he has at the moment as the Reds are up there challenging for promotion.
If he can hit the ground running with the Reds, then Danny Cowley could live to regret not giving the winger more of a chance in his team this season.
