It has been an inconsistent season from Leeds United in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Whites failing to build on positive runs of form and facing another year of mid-table mediocrity.

On two separate occasions Leeds have put together barnstorming runs to get their fans dreaming of a Premier League return, but those two positive spells have been matched by huge dips that have left them mid-table.

If ever a player summed up the inconsistency of Leeds it would Ezgjan Alioski, who has blown hot and cold during his year at Elland Road.

The 26-year-old has scored goals and provided assists, but in Leeds’ difficult spells he hasn’t been a figure that Thomas Christiansen or Paul Heckingbottom could turn to.

However, @LUFC have today announced that Alioski will link up with the Macedonian squad at the end of this month, aiming to participate in friendlies with Finland and Azerbaijan.

Following Leeds’ update, here is how supporters reacted…
