Bristol City are reportedly considering signing West Ham United forward Jordan Hugill and many Robins fans are disappointed by the move.

According to Sky Sports Transfer Centre (18/07, 17:41), the Robins are one of a number of clubs interested in the 27-year-old, while Wigan's move for the striker has fallen through.

Hugill has had a disappointing time since joining the Hammers in January 2018 and seems likely to leave the club this summer.

The striker has made just three appearances for the Premier League club and spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough.

He found the net just seven times for Boro but has shown himself a dangerous Championship striker in the past.

At Preston North End, he scored 13 goals in the 2016/17 season and was flying with eight goals to his name in the 2017/18 campaign before he was snapped up by West Ham in the January transfer window.

Lee Johnson has reportedly hinted that he is hoping to bolster his attack before the transfer window closes, with Sheffield Wednesday forward Lucas Joao and Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah both linked with the club.

The Robins are understood to face competition from a number of sides, including QPR, for Hugill but it seems that many supporters of the club don't want to see him arrive at Ashton Gate this summer.
