‘One of them nights’, ‘Needs a break’ – Many Huddersfield Town fans make same observation about 22-year-old

Huddersfield Town were held to a 1-1 draw by Peterborough United last night in the Championship despite taking a late lead through Danny Ward. 

Ward converted after Sorba Thomas’ corner caused havoc in the Peterborough penalty area on 74 minutes. However, Jonson Clarke-Harris would equalise and deny Huddersfield a second victory in four days.

Despite his set-piece leading to Huddersfield’s goal, it was a difficult night for Thomas at right wing-back.

Carlos Corberan has relied on the creativity of the Welsh international all season, with Thomas playing in all 16 Championship fixtures this season.

He’s scored once and registered eight assists in that time – although last night’s isn’t credited to him – with his set-pieces causing particular problems.

To the Huddersfield fans, the 22-year-old has enough credit in the bank to carry the odd poor performance. However, they recognise that he’s not on the top of his game at the moment, as he was earlier in the season.
