Leeds eased past Bolton Wanderers to reach the second round of the EFL Cup last night, with one of the goals coming from the mercurial talent, Samuel Saiz.

Saiz delighted and frustrated in equal measure last season, always one step away from a phenomenal performance, but equally one stumble away from controversy.

His ban for spitting underlined the angering side to his game and it could have spelled the end of his Leeds career. His tepid performances upon returning only weakened his position further.

Then Marcelo Bielsa arrived and gave the 27-year old a new lease of life. Since the start of the season he's been transformed into a creative behemoth, a player as brilliantly unpredictable and exciting as Leeds fans knew he could be.

He weighed in with a goal last night, but his entire performance drew fans to Twitter in their droves.

Some questioned why such a special player was risked in a low-key cup game, others just marvelled at the potential he now seems to be reaching and breaching.
