‘One of Sunderland’s worst ever signings’, ‘He’ll probably score against us’ – Plenty of supporters respond to deadline day decision

It was a successful transfer window for Sunderland who kept doing business right up until the final moments.
While incoming deals were all wrapped up supporters were waiting with bated breath for news on the reported interest in Will Grigg.
The striker has had a nightmare two years at the Stadium Of Light and speculation suggested that he was looking for an opportunity to kickstart his career elsewhere.
That move came in the form of a loan switch to MK Don, with the 29-year-old heading out until the end of the current season.
With Sunderland strengthening their own squad during the January transfer window the departure of the Northern Ireland international was largely met with happiness and acceptance that it was the right deal for all parties.
Here’s what a group of supporters had to say on social media.
He'll score goals again, better style of football will suit him, not long ball.

Quiz: Have any of these 22 players ever been in Sunderland’s academy?
Good Luck Will… clearly not happy at #safc which showed in his complete lack of passion. Hopefully at The Dons he can relight his 🔥
