England drew 0-0 with Germany last night at Wembley in what was a decent performance by Gareth Southgate's men against a side many are tipping for World Cup success next year.

The England manager handed full debuts to three players from the off, and one in particular massively impressed the watching crowd and pundits, former Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The Everton stopper was brilliant in the sticks for the three lions, pulling off a number of top quality saves to deny the visitors and do his chances of becoming the England number one for next year's World Cup no harm at all.

Sunderland fans were clearly delighted with the performance of their former 'keeper, with many taking the chance to react to a tweet put out by the official Sunderland twitter account congratulating the young goalkeeper on his performance and full debut.
