Football League World's Millwall fan pundit Sam Scott has given his thoughts on the start that Brighton loanee Jayson Molumby has made to life at the New Den, with the midfielder having performed well in the Championship so far.

The 20-year-old midfielder arrived during the summer months and has quickly established himself as a key player for the Lions this term, striking up a strong partnership with Shaun Williams in the centre of the park.

Despite being one of the younger members of the squad, Molumby has quickly adapted to Championship football, averaging 33.2 passes per game, thus yielding an impressive pass success rate of 85.6%, which is considerably high given Millwall's direct style of play.

We caught up with Scott earlier this month, and here is what our Millwall fan pundit had to say about Molumby's start to life at the New Den:

"His passing range and the overall passion that he shows for the club have been the qualities that have most impressed me since he arrived during the summer.

"He also possesses a strong work rate in the centre of the field, giving the team an extra boost in midfield.

"He can pick a pass at the right time, whilst also being capable of just maintaining possession of the ball when we are in the lead.

"Molumby has probably been one of our best signings this summer, and I just hope we can hold onto him until the end of the season.

"I fully feel that he could well make the grade at Brighton in the future, and probably has the potential to go beyond that."

It is fair to say that the young midfielder has made quite an impression since arriving at the New Den, and the Millwall faithful will be hopeful that the 20-year-old's strong performances continue as they seek to climb the table under the stewardship of Gary Rowett.
