It was a good day for Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, as they ended a three match winless run with a 3-1 win over QPR at Ewood Park.

After Ben Brereton opened the scoring with a brilliant volley five minutes after the break, QPR levelled through Lyndon Dykes' penalty, only for a double for Adam Armstrong to seal all three points for Rovers.

But while Armstrong's brace, to take him into double figures in the league this season, will attract plenty of attention, the performance of Brereton should not be forgotten either.

The attacker was outstanding with his work rate throughout the game, and as well as opening the scoring, the 21-year-old played a key role in Armstrong's goal that saw Rovers re-take the lead, winning possession inside the Rovers half, before picking out a perfect pass to Harvey Elliott, which allowed the on loan Liverpool man to set Armstrong away one on one.

That contribution from Brereton is something that did not go unnoticed by many Rovers fans as they took to Twitter to react to their side's return to winning ways, with many keen to pay tribute to the performance of the 21-year-old.

Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say.
