A number of Derby County supporters have been bemoaning the performance of defender Andre Wisdom following the Rams’ frustrating 2-1 defeat away at Blackburn Rovers on Friday.

The Rams headed into the game under pressure to pick up all three points to give themselves some breathing room above the bottom three. However, despite taking the lead after a promising start to the game, Wayne Rooney’s side were ultimately guilty of making a couple of major mistakes at the back that allowed Blackburn to turn the game around and inflict a damaging defeat on them.

One player who endured a torrid evening for the Rams was Wisdom, with the 27-year-old involved in both goals that the Rams conceded. His mistake for the second goal proved to be really costly for Rooney’s side. It was a performance that demonstrated that Derby can be vulnerable defensively when he starts at the centre of their defence.
