Preston North End face a difficult test as they travel to face Cardiff City this weekend.

The Lilywhites are currently third in the Championship table, but with just four points between themselves and 10th-place Swansea City, there's still plenty of work to be done in the hunt for promotion.

Alex Neil's side are in decent form after recording back-t0-back victories over Fulham and Luton Town in the last week, and focus will now be on closing the 10-point gap on the top two teams in the Championship.

A trip to face Cardiff is certainly going to be a tough test for Preston, but how are they expected to line up at the Cardiff City Stadium? We take a look.

Alex Neil could make just one change for the trip to Cardiff City.

Darnell Fisher is suspended for the clash in South Wales after picking up his 10th booking of the season against Luton Town last week.

That means that Tom Clarke could deputise at right-back.

Declan Rudd should start in goal, while Clarke could join Patrick Bauer, Paul Huntingdon and Andrew Hughes in defence.

Ben Pearson and Paul Gallagher could start in midfield, while Sean Maguire, Alan Browne and Billy Bodin could also start.

Similarly to the clash with Luton Town, David Nugent could lead the line against Cardiff City.
