Norwich City have had an exceptional season in the Championship where they won promotion to the Premier League, against all the odds.

Entering the season, the Canaries were not one of the sides tipped to go up by any neutrals or bookies, with many expecting a similar season to the one before - mid table obscurity.

Daniel Farke has defied the bookies odds though and helped Norwich romp home to promotion, getting the best out of nearly every player at the club.

Over the course of the season, there have been heroes in abundance, so it is hard to pick someone who doesn’t fall into the ‘hero’ category.

Here, we choose one hero and one villain from their 2018/19 season - one player who has excelled, and someone who isn't loved by the Carrow Road faithful.

Do you agree, or have we missed a hero or villain from our selection? Let us know in the comments section below.

Hero: Emiliano Buendia

What a buy Buendia was. This ‘hero’ could have been given to anyone really, with Pukki deserving it as well as both the full backs, and a few others.

The reason we’ve opted for Buendia is because they stole him from under the noses of promotion rivals Leeds for hardly any money at all.

He has been crucial to Norwich, and who knows how Leeds may have fared with him.

Villain: Ipswich Town

Honestly, it is too hard to pick a villain from within Norwich this season, so we will go with their fierce rivals Ipswich Town.

Of course, Town are going down whilst Norwich are going up, so there might even be some sympathy coming out of Carrow Road.

However, they are usually the villain and we've opted for them.
