Derby County boss Phillip Cocu has claimed that his side need to "keep pushing forward" after suffering their sixth defeat of the season against Huddersfield Town last night, which has drawn a frustrated response from many Rams fans.

Juninho Bacuna found the net after a slick Huddersfield move to give the hosts the winner in the 53rd minute at the John Smith's Stadium.

The result means that the Rams have now lost five of the six Championship games they've played this season, as well as being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Preston North End.

Speaking to the club media after the game, Cocu suggested his side need to keep pushing forward following the defeat.

He said: "We all know it. I know it. We have to keep pushing forward to try and get the players who are coming back from injuries a little bit more fit to complete the team so we have more options.

"Go with full energy into Friday's game."

He added: "First half we played brilliant. That's what I told the lads at half time. The only thing that was missing was a goal. Absolutely that was deserved in the first half, great intensity, great press.

"The key moment of the game is that the offside was given for Jason Knight. He's two yards onside and is one on one with the goalkeeper. In these tight games, if we scored the first goal we will win the game. It's likely."

Pressure is building on the Dutchman, with reports in the Netherlands suggesting that he is 'hanging on by a thread' at Pride Park.

His post-match claims from last night's game don't appear to have gone down well with Derby fans, with many supporters taking to Twitter to voice their frustration.
