Nottingham Forest made it five Championship games unbeaten on Saturday with a comfortable 2-0 win against struggling Hull City.

Once again, Lewis Grabban was the main man for the Reds, with the striker getting the opener, his tenth league goal of the season.

Despite his excellent for since arriving, boss Aitor Karanka is believed to be on the lookout for a new number nine in January.

And, TEAMtalk have suggested that in-form Leyton Orient forward Macauley Bonne is on Forest's radar, along with many more Championship sides.

The 23-year-old has scored 16 goals in 21 National League games this season which have put his side top of the fifth-tier.

As well as that, the former Colchester United man hit 22 goals last season in another prolific campaign.

But, is he ready for the step up and what implications would a deal have for Forest?

Here we look at one winner and one loser from a potential deal...

Firstly, you have to say that the player himself would be a real winner out of this deal if it does get done.

Bonne is not even playing in the Football League, so to get a move to a club like Forest would be incredible from a personal perspective.

He would be a part of a squad that is competing for promotion to the Premier League and would give Bonne a platform to make a real name for himself.

Karanka only usually plays one up front and that has to be Grabban with the form he is showing.

Behind him, new signing Karim Ansarifard will hope to get a chance soon, so the signing of Bonne would be a big blow for Murphy.

He would struggle even more for game time and may look to move as a result.
