Eddie Howe has confirmed he will hold talks with Lewis Grabban at the end of the season to discuss the striker’s future with Bournemouth, reports the Bournemouth Echo.

Grabban is currently on-loan in the Sky Bet Championship with Reading, where he is looking to help Jaap Stam’s side reach the Premier League via the play-offs.

The striker still has two years remaining on his contract with Bournemouth and is set for discussions with Howe over the summer, the Cherries’ boss said: “I will have to sit down with Lewis in the summer and have discussions as to where we think we take our relationship.

"That is the same for any player. I will sit down with all of them at the end of the season and have a discussion about next season and Lewis will be no different."

Grabban joined Bournemouth in January 2016 from Norwich City, but during his 12-months at Dean Court, the 29-year old started just eight games and featured predominantly as a substitute.

Opportunities with the Cherries could again be limited next year, with this season’s 16-goal striker, Josh King, stating that he is expecting the stay with Bournemouth despite transfer speculation.

Since arriving at the Madejski Stadium during the January transfer window, Grabban has made 17 appearances for Reading, scoring three goals.

Grabban started Saturday’s play-off clash with Fulham, and will be looking to be involved in the second-leg at the Madejski Stadium this evening, where the winners will face either Sheffield Wednesday or Huddersfield Town at Wembley on May 29th.
