Sylvain Deslandes and Conor Ronan have both taken to their personal Twitter accounts to express their delight at joining Portsmouth on-loan, after it was confirmed that the Wolverhampton Wanderers duo would be linking up with Kenny Jackett’s side for the remainder of the season.

Both Deslandes and Ronan found themselves on the fringe of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad at Wolves, as they pick up the pace in their quest for promotion in the Sky Bet Championship.

Wolves have moved early in this month’s transfer window to loan the duo to Portsmouth, with Deslandes and Ronan set to spend the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign in League One with Pompey.

Both players have taken to Twitter to express their delight at arriving at Fratton Park, the duo’s messages read:

Deslandes, 20, and Ronan, 19, link-up with former Wolves boss, Jackett, who has his Pompey side going in search of the League One top-six and back-to-back promotions.

Pompey currently sit sixth in the League One table, holding a slender one-point lead over Rotherham United, who are hot on their tail.

Jackett’s side are not back in action until January 13th, when they entertain play-off rivals, Scunthorpe United.

The Verdict

Both Deslandes and Ronan seem delighted to have arrived at Fratton Park, with the youngsters handed an excellent opportunity to gain some first-team experience.

Opportunities at Molineux are limited for most fringe players due to Wolves’ excellent form in the Championship, and Deslandes and Ronan now have the perfect opportunity to impress their parent-club by aiding Portsmouth’s play-off push.

This could potentially be a magnificent deal for all parties.
