‘On fire’, ‘Baller’ – Many Birmingham City fans react to Miguel Fernandez’s display

Many Birmingham City fans have taken to Twitter to react to Miguel Fernandez’s latest display for the club’s Under-23 side against Crewe Alexandra.
The 19-year-old, who can operate as either a midfielder or a forward, joined the Blues on a short-term deal in August from UE Cornella following an impressive trial last season.
Although Fernandez has yet to make his bow for Birmingham’s senior side, his performances at youth level have been very promising.
Having scored against the likes of Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers in recent weeks, the Spaniard continued his fine run of form in-front of goal by firing home the winner against Crewe earlier today.
Will Birmingham City challenge for a top-six finish this season?
Yes

No

After the Railwaymen were penalised for a back-pass in the second-half of the clash, Jack Concannon teed up Fernandez who finished with aplomb.
Given that Birmingham’s senior side have only managed to score 16 league goals this season, caretaker head coach Pep Clotet may find it beneficial to turn to Fernandez for inspiration over the coming months.
Following the teenager’s latest strike for the Under-23s, plenty of Birmingham fans took to Twitter to praise him.
Here are some of the best responses from the club’s supporters…

This lad scores regularly for the U23 time he step up to 1st team squad. Can't do any worse than Pep's present choice strikers
