Wigan Athletic picked up a credible point last night against Play-Off chasing Norwich City, drawing 2-2 at the DW stadium.

Omar Bogle was the star of the show, bagging a brace on his full debut for the Latics.

The striker was a deadline-day signing from Grimsby Town and appeared as a substitute in Friday’s defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

Nelson Oliveira headed Norwich into the lead, late in the first-half, before Bogle grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck in the second.

The 24-year-old, who had scored 19 goals already this season for the Mariners, headed the home side level from a Michael Jacobs’ corner.

Just four minutes later the striker had the Latics in front, firing a 20-yard free-kick past John Ruddy.

Mitchell Dijks levelled in the 73rd minute, and an entertaining game ended in a draw.

The result leaves Warren Joyce’s side 23rd in the Sky Bet Championship table, trailing 21st place Burton Albion by five points, as Wigan look to claw their way back to safety.

Next up for the Latics is a trip to London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage.
