Sheffield United midfielder Oliver Norwood has given his reaction to being named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year alongside Blades teammate Billy Sharp.

Norwood has made 41 appearances for the Blades in the Championship this season, scoring three goals and providing nine assists for his teammates.

Meanwhile, Sharp has scored 23 goals in 38 Championship appearances for the Sheffield United and was nominated for the EFL Championship Player of the Season.

The 28-year-old posted a photo of the team on his personal Instagram account, adding the message that he is honoured to named in the team alongside Sharp.

Sheffield United took a major step towards promotion to the Premier League on Easter Monday, with a 3-0 win over Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

The Blades are now three points ahead of third-placed Leeds United in the Championship table, with just two games to go and have a superior goal difference.

The team know that one win from their final two matches against Ipswich Town and Stoke City is likely to be enough to secure automatic promotion to the top flight.

Norwood is looking for his third successive promotion to the Premier League with the Blades this season, having achieved promotion in each of the past two seasons with Brighton and Fulham.

The Verdict

It's been a fantastic season for Sheffield United and the team are now so close to achieving promotion to the Premier League.

Both Norwood and Sharp have been outstanding for the Blades this season and it is no surprise to see them both named in the team of the season.

The players will be hoping to use this news as motivation to finish the season with automatic promotion.
