Sheffield United midfielder Oliver Norwood has delivered a message to Blades fans on social media, following the win over Hull City.

The Blades took a huge step towards securing promotion to the Premier League on Monday, with a 3-0 victory over the Tigers at the KCOM Stadium.

The result saw Chris Wilder's keep the pressure of automatic promotion rivals Leeds United, ahead of their game against Brentford on Monday evening.

Leeds suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Bees at Griffin Park, leaving them three points behind Sheffield United in the automatic promotion race, with just two matches remaining.

The Northern Ireland international is looking to win his third successive promotion to the Premier League, having done so in each of the past two seasons with Brighton and Wolves.

The Verdict:

It's been a massive day in the Championship, with important results at both ends of the table.

Perhaps none more so than at Griffin Park, where Leeds missed the chance to move level on points with Sheffield United in the race for automatic promotion.

The Blades are now three points ahead of Leeds in the Championship table, with just two games remaining and have a superior goal difference.

Norwood and his teammates now know that back-to-back wins against Ipswich Town and Stoke City will confirm their promotion to the top flight.
