The Verdict

It was the right move for Sheffield United and Burke to cut ties. The move to Bramall Lane hadn’t worked and getting things sorted at this early stage of the summer was positive.

Burke now has a chance to move back to Germany and play at a level that should help him get back to his best.

We know there’s a decent player in there and, judging by his excitement at joining Bremen, he’s determined to show everyone what he can do.
