Huddersfield Town's Rajiv van la Parra has posted a message to fans on Instagram, following his premature departure from Middlesbrough.

The winger signed for the Sky Bet Championship side in January, on loan until the end of the season. It was seen a massive coup from the North East club, having been linked with promotion rivals Leeds United.

But the 27-year old endured a difficult time at the Riverside, making just one start for Tony Pulis' men which came in the FA Cup against Peterborough United.

The Dutchman failed to make a single league start for Boro despite making three appearances from off the bench - and he has now returned to his parent club in order to receive treatment on a back injury.

After his side's 1-0 defeat to Bristol City in midweek, Pulis revealed that van la Parra would not play for the club again after his injury setback, which the Welshman knew about when he signed the winger in January.

And breaking his silence on a bitterly disappointing time in the North East, van la Parra took to his Instagram page to post a cryptic message to fans.
