It's been a pretty up and down season so far for Oxford United with them currently sat in 18th place in Sky Bet League One as they look to challenge for the play-offs.

It's a congested league, of course, and good form can soon get you up the table but they'll be wanting to embark on a run before too long with the Christmas period fast approaching.

Here, meanwhile, we're looking at a player that will be looking to impress both the U's and QPR in that time - Olamide Shodipo.

The winger will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Bright Osayi-Samuel by showing what he can do lower down before getting into the Hoops' team.

We've seen flashes from him, too, with him scoring a fine goal in the win over MK Dons earlier this year, that earned him more game time in the matches after.

Another goal against Rochdale saw paved the way for him to play the full 90 in the FA Cup against Peterborough and in the league against Crewe but, unfortunately, both results were losses.

Since, he's played a cameo against Wigan and then just over an hour last night in the draw with Portsmouth.

He is, then, a bit in and out of the side in terms of a starting place but that, in part, is due to the rotation going on up and down the country with teams at the moment.

The jury could be out, then, in terms of his future at QPR and he'll be hoping he can force his way into the Oxford side and really stay there as much as possible in the coming weeks and months.
