Leeds United will be hoping to avoid any upsets tonight, as they prepare to face League Two side Salford City in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The Whites have started their season off in impressive style, picking up four points from their opening two league games against Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side could have taken all three points against the Reds at the weekend, but squandered plenty of chances in front of goal and ultimately paid the price as Lewis Grabban levelled for the visitors late on.
Bielsa is expected to make a host of changes to the side that drew 1-1 at Elland Road on Saturday, with the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Jack Clarke and Mateusz Bogusz all likely to be given their first outings of the season tonight.
They will be hoping that they can advance into the second round of the competition without any slip-ups, with Salford looking to cause an upset by knocking out one of the big boys.
Leeds fans are not too happy as kick-off draws nearer though, with the news that experienced Premier League referee Keith Stroud is set to oversee tonight’s contest.
The 50-year-old refereed Leeds’ game against Brentford last season, a game in which they lost 2-0 and saw their promotion hopes dwindle, after having a huge penalty appeal waved away in the first half as Julian Jeanvier brought down Patrick Bamford.
Here, we take a look at Leeds fans’ reactions to the appointment of Stroud for tonight’s game…
I hate complaining about refs but it can't be coincidence the amount of decisions that go against us.

Oh no, him reffing the Salford game doesn’t fill me with confidence. Absolutely terrible referee

I’m sure you’re old enough to remember the performances of George Courtney and Keith Hackett as utterly biased referees at ER. I know us #LUFC fans have a paranoid conspiracy theory about the twunts at EFL but we’ve suffered long before our recent scandals

Stroud is by far THE worst ref available and just due to his appointment expect us to lose, probably to an early penalty and a disputed goal for something he should have done but didn't.
Have zero trust in his capabilities, all from see our previous games with him not just b'ford

Don't have any confidence at all with any ref we get anymore if I'm totally honest

Well that makes a change doesn’t it?! Another referee who gives us nothing! Just how clear do the decisions need to be?
